Landscaping

As many of you may know, the landscaping in our "new" house left a LOT to be desired. It seems that Dinah was fond of planting everything and anything in the beds around the house. She seemed especially good at transplanting house plants into the beds, hence the proliferation of Easter lillies we had in the front bed... Needless to say, there was little that we wanted to keep (and that the landscapers managed not to kill - seemingly they are good at killing plants but not weeds...hmmm...) and everything needed to be changed. So, after spending the majority of our 2007 tax return, we present to you the before and after pictures of our new landscaping! Stay tuned for a post on July 1 highlighting the landscaping with our new front door (the rest of the 2007 tax return)...just don't let the excitement paralyze you between now and then!

Vacation in Atlanta!

The sleeping half of the trip...so cute!

Hi everyone! I've been gone a while, but I am back now! Hopefully, I can get back to posting as well! Cate and I took a trip to Atlanta to visit my family. It was HOT, but apparently just as hot in Syracuse. Cate did wonderfully on the plane - slept 1/2 the time and was up 1/2 the time for both the trip down and back. I have to admit to some trepidation traveling alone with her WITH the car seat in tow, but we did great. We will be purchasing Cate her own seat from here forward - it was a must. I did find out, however, that we have purchased possibly the LARGEST, HEAVIEST car seat on the face of the Earth! Uncle Eric called it Cate's "throne"!! Oh well, we will not be buying another one (although the thought crossed my mind in the Gainesville Wal-Mart). Other than our visit, we are looking forward to the end of school for Max and the installation of our new landscaping and front door. The landscaping is underway as we speak but the door will be another couple of weeks - that's a whole posting on its own!

The lighting is weird, but Ella and Cate were just adorable playing at the park.

Having fun at Gramma and Grandpa's house!
